From the company's huge headquarters in Trafford Park acquired in 2012, the site aptly named Textile House, it is a long way from David Moore's first business venture, aged 18, when he set-up in his grandfather's garden shed selling masking tape to automotive garages in Manchester and Salford.

Just eight years later David’s early interest in the environment and sustainably lead the company to diversify and start selling recycled materials, namely textiles rags. As Davis & Moore continued to grow, textile rag wipers followed suit and became the core part of the business. But it wasn't until a further three years later he  transitioned from the garden shed to operating from a small business unit in Eccles, Manchester. From there the rest is recent history.
